At a gala dinner for London\u2019s Air Ambulance Charity, William said, \u201cThank you for the kind messages of support for Catherine and my father.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It means a great deal to us all.\u201d He added, \u201cThe past few weeks have had a rather \u2018medical\u2019 focus, so I thought I\u2019d come to an air ambulance function to get away from it all.\u201d The event included guests like Hollywood actor Tom Cruise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">William had postponed engagements to care for his children after Kate\u2019s abdominal surgery on January 16. King Charles, 75, underwent treatment for an enlarged prostate and was later diagnosed with cancer. Despite his diagnosis, Charles remains \u201cwholly positive\u201d and plans to continue his work and state duties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prince Harry visited King Charles briefly before returning to the U.S., maintaining distance from the rest of the family.
